We took the whole of Spring Break 2000 to make a huge trip to Shenandoah Valley, Virginia. We went all the way along Skyline Drive from Front Royal to Waynesboro, hiking down many waterfalls and climbing up many peaks. We stayed in two motels along the way, one in Front Royal, and a bed and breakfast off Harrisonburg. After our two day tour there, we headed east towards Charlottesville, where we stopped briefly to look at the historical buildings, before reaching Richmond where we met with a friend for lunch. Finally, on our way back, we stopped by Washington DC, partaking in the Mall, the DC Zoo, and the Jefferson Memorial (right at night!) before a long drive back along Highway 40 (not I-76!) back to Pittsburgh, PA.A really long trip, and we took a lot of photographs. I'm still collating them all. Here's a selection! Enjoy.
