On July 4th weekend, I went out with a couple of Carnegie Mellon friends who visited San Francisco from Austin and Pittsburgh.Among the places I went to during summer, was Alcatraz Island, a place I had long circled, in 1997 and in 2001, and finally got a chance to set foot in 2002. Note, its a good idea to book the tickets in advance.
