Its about the Engineer's Week at Pittsburgh and the Carnegie Science Center invited Tau Beta Pi students to stand in and talk about engineering. Guess what they made me do? There was this booth that they wanted me to set up, the materials were there, and it consisted of things to help young children learn about magnets and electromagnetism.I really enjoyed showing 10-12 year olds how to build an electric motor out of a D-size battery, a paperclip, rubber-band, and one permanent magnet. Even better was explaining those EMF fields to them! As for the younger kids, they had fun building an electromagnetic using an iron rod and a coil of wire. And of course, the youngest had fun playing with various-shaped magnetics to pick things up.The poor quality of develop is shows you should leave developing film to the pros and not do it by hand. :)
