Alec Proudfoot's personal project is to build a "Dead Simple Human Powered Airplane" (DaSH PA). This has been his childhood dream, and it's sort of his alternative to investing in a Tesla car. He is taking volunteers to help build (and maybe even fly) the plane. Check out more at
